Cafe 140 has been a bit of an ongoing joke in my family. We had a big night out for a beautiful wedding and it was decided (quite vehemently in the middle of the night!) that we should meet at Cafe 140 at 8:30 for breakfast the morning after. Needless to say we never made it.. That was about 18 months ago.
Now, after another big night for a fabulous 30th birthday we finally made it for Brunch – not quite at 8:30 though…

Certainly lived up to the high expectations that had been created! Was warned we might have to wait for a table as it is always busy (have I mentioned it’s in Bunbury? Waiting for a table is pretty much normal in Perth on a Sunday morning!) but we were lucky enough to snag one straight away.
I’d been hearing about the Morning Glory Burger all the previous night and it looked pretty amazing! I think it basically epitomises MAN FOOD. Bacon, Egg, Aioli, Lettuce, Tomato and Hash Browns all in a burger. What more could you want?
I ordered the homemade toasted Muesli. Oh. My. WOW. It came topped with Raspberries, Apple, Pear, Blueberries, Dried Fruit, Yoghurt and Honey. I was one very, very happy girl. I also ordered a side of hash browns because I couldn’t bare the thought of missing out on some salty crunchy goodness but it was a serious squeeze to fit them in. I’m going to put it out there and say best muesli I have eaten at at restaurant/cafe!
The basic bacon and eggs looked really good as well! Thickly cut, well buttered toast, perfectly cooked bacon and gooey eggs. Yum. Sometimes you just can’t go wrong with a classic.
All in all, every time I head down to Bunbury from now on I’m going to make a point of brunch at Cafe 140 and trips may need to be more often now…!
One more thing – you can follow Cafe 140 on Instagram – username is cafeoneforty. They will taunt you with their muffin selections every morning!
