2012 Festive Season!

Well, we made it through the year! I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas and that 2012 treated you well. Fingers crossed 2013 is only going to be bigger and better!

This post is pretty much just me bragging… I’ll be honest! I’ve tried so many new dishes this year and certainly done more baking in the past two weeks than I have in the last twelve months combined. My sister and I decided to make a Christmas Care Package for the family this year, hence the reason for so many different baked goods, but they turned out really well and I think everybody was happy with them, at least I hope so!

I wanted to post some pics of food I’ve cooked/baked throughout the festive season that I’m just a little bit proud of…!

To wrap up 2012, I’ve spent an amazing, eye opening four weeks in Vietnam and eaten some of the most scrumptious food I can imagine. I have tried as many new foods as I possibly could! I can now officially say that I like mushrooms, I can tolerate avocado and pumpkin, zucchini and eggplant have made it into my top favourite veggies list. I still do not like peas. I have found some great recipes that will become staples for years to come – Moussaka, Happy Soup, Chow Mein, etc.

By all accounts, 2012 was a pretty spectacular year for me food wise and I’m calling it a success! Thank you to those who have been giving me such positive feedback on the blog, I really appreciate it and I hope you enjoy it in 2013!
